openmog is a social platform for creators, built first for artists selling commissions. It is a public feed with likes and replies, person-to-person chat, and sealed posts: a post can be sealed at a price so each buyer pays to reveal it, or behind a goal so backers fund it together and only pay if it opens. Get paid before you post.

No. Some unrelated apps use the word mog for scoring faces; openmog does not rate people, score appearance, or rank users against each other. It is a place where creators post, sell commissions, and get paid for a post before it is public.

None. There are no AI answers, no per-person AI, and nothing on openmog is generated. The only automated system that touches what you post is content-safety screening by Sightengine, a purpose-built classifier that checks text, images, video and audio before anything is published or can take money. It keeps none of your data after processing and trains on nothing.

Not as human-made. AI-generated work may not be sold as human-made and may not be presented as your own hand-made work. Label it and it can be posted; the guidelines have the details. If you think a post is passing off AI-generated work, report it from the three-dot menu; every report of this kind goes to human review.

A sealed post hides part of a post behind money. In crowdfund mode the creator sets a goal ($20 to $1,000) and a deadline of at most five days, and if backers reach the goal the hidden payload goes public for everyone. In pay-to-reveal mode there is one fixed price and each person who pays it sees the payload for themselves, with the post never going public. A sealed post can be anonymous like any other post; the real creator is kept privately on the money side so payouts still reach them.

Only if it reaches its goal. Backing places a hold on your card, which reserves the amount without charging it, and stakes start at $5. The stake you choose is what counts toward the goal, and the number on the confirm button, with openmog’s fee already inside it, is the whole charge if it unseals; nothing is added after you authorize. If the goal is met the hold is captured and the post opens for everyone. If it is not, the hold is released and you are charged nothing. You may also be credited a bonus on top, but that money comes from the people who bonded the post rather than from openmog, so it is only ever as large as the pool they filled: a fully bonded post pays the full percentage it advertised, and a post nobody bonded pays no bonus at all. The advertised percentage is a ceiling on a bonus, never a floor. The stake sheet prices your position before you confirm.

Bonding is staking your own money on a sealed post reaching its goal, into a pool capped at the post’s bonus percentage times its goal. Bonding unlocks nothing. If the post unseals, the hold is released and the bonder is credited exactly what they staked. If it stays sealed, the pool pays the backers their bonuses and each bonder is charged the all-in amount that covers their share of that cost, with the rest of the hold released. The charge carrying its own collection cost is what lets the backers receive the full bonus that was advertised.

The creator sets what they receive and receives 100% of it. openmog’s fee is 10% of each payment with a 75 cent minimum, included in the price shown to the payer: the number on the confirm button is the whole charge, and nothing is added after you authorize. A backer who stakes $5 counts the full $5.00 toward the goal and their card pays $5.75. On a $100 goal met by twenty $5 backers with a full $25 bond pool, the cards total $115.00, the fee is $15.00, bonders are credited $25.00 and the creator $75.00; the same $100 from one backer is a single payment of $111.12 with an $11.12 fee, and the creator still receives $75.00, because both rates are fixed when the post is sealed and each payment carries its own fee. On a $7 reveal the buyer pays $7.78 and the creator is credited the full $7.00. When a campaign stays sealed the backers pay nothing, so the fee rides the bonders’ charges: each bond pays the all-in amount that covers its share of the bonuses. Nothing is taken from a released hold or a refund, since no payment happened. Posting, liking, replying and chatting stay free.

Stakes and reveal prices start at $5, with reveal prices running $5 to $1,000; crowdfund goals run $20 to $1,000. Withdrawals start at $50. The stake and price floors exist because openmog’s fee has a 75 cent per-payment minimum, the amount that covers the fixed cost of collecting a card payment, and below $5 that minimum would dominate the price the payer sees: on a $5 reveal the buyer pays $5.75 and the creator keeps the full $5.00. Sending a payout has fixed costs of its own, so credits under the withdrawal floor stay in your balance until they add up to it.

Yes. You can post under your handle or anonymously, so a good post doesn’t depend on who made it. Anonymous posts still follow the content guidelines, still go through safety screening, and can be liked, replied to or reported like any other.

Posts on openmog are public, apart from the sealed part of a sealed post, which stays hidden until it is paid for. Posting anonymously hides your handle from other people, but your content is still public and remains visible to openmog for safety and moderation.

Deleting a post removes it from the feed, your profile and search, and its replies go with it. We keep the underlying record, flagged as deleted, for moderation and dispute purposes, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Open the three-dot menu on any post and choose Report. Our team reviews reports and can hide or remove content or take action on accounts that break the content guidelines.

Yes. Posting, liking, replying and chatting are free to use while openmog is in its early stage. The only money on openmog is money you choose to put there: backing, bonding or revealing a sealed post, all of which show their terms before you commit. Creators receive 100% of what they set; openmog’s fee, 10% of each payment with a 75 cent minimum, is included in the price the payer sees, and there is nothing else.

We collect what’s needed to run your account and the service. What you post is screened for safety before it publishes, and the screening provider deletes it right after processing and trains on nothing. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
